WAY TOO SLOW

It's 5:17 a.m. and Patrick is here at my feet, asleep on his afghan.

It took 13 minutes for the post-create page to open. I read while I'm waiting--right now I'm perusing Michael Reagan's Making Waves. This machine is close to useless sometimes.

Junior is supposed to be ordering me a new machine from Dell, but he is slow too.

Now I've totally forgotten what I was going to blog about. Oh, well. I'm sure it would have captivated you.

Hopefully soon, my computer time will be cut by 80% , but I won't get as much reading done.

Today's quote:

DON'T LET IT GO TO YOUR HEAD

It's 6:29 p.m. and Patrick is here with me, resting on his afghan at my feet..
Drizzely and miserable all day.
During my business career, at times I had as many as two hundred people under my command.
Coming from humble origins, and putting my time in as a laborer, I learned to be Fair, Firm, and Friendly. I was generally successful with this methodology.
Some people, however, once they get a little taste of authority, become mean and nasty just for the fun of it, apparently. They get full of themselves. We had a buddy in the Army that got promoted to Sergeant. So that meant he was a non-com, had to drink at the non-com club and generally hang out with other non-coms instead of us lower pukes. That's OK, we understood that. But overnite this guy all of a sudden started throwing his weight around, like he was far superior to us and we were slime under his boots. He had no direct authority over us, but he did outrank us. I thought the behavior to be curious. He wasn't planning on being a lifer, so what was the point? The point was he got real full of himself and lost sight of what is important, and decent.
He became a jerk. But he was young, so you can excuse it. But what about seasoned adults, who get some little power over others, and start to act like jerks? I'm not talking about meting out discipline or giving hard orders--I'm talking about acting haughty and committing radoms acts of cruelty. I've never liked those guys, but unfortunately you meet them all the time, whether it's at work, church, club or even on internet forums. It's really a shame. Got to feel sorry for them, eh? Pathetic.

CHUCK'S ANGELS

It's 9:04 a.m. and foggy out at 65 degrees. Patrick is here with me begging for who knows what.

Our little Walnut Tree is full of it's very first crop of fruit, so we are looking forward to Walnuts roasting on an open fire.

Charlie's Angels were together on stage at the emmies to pay tribute to the late Aaron Spelling.

They've got to be in their late forties or early fifties, and at least two of them look like they're thirty years old! Kate Jackson, we always loved her, and she looks better than she ever did. Farrah, well dear girl, you had "IT" but I don't think anybody ever accused you of being pretty. The years have not been so kind. And Jacklyn Smith remains the quintessential cute and sexy girl next door, with a twist: Her etherial good looks rank her in the Top Five Great Beauties of the Twentieth Century. You know Jill Munroe was only on the show one year. She was replaced with Cheryl Ladd. I wish she had been there, it would have been more appropriate, as she is even acting on a popular TV show this year. She remains one of our all time favorites--a real class act.

Quick stir fry idea: Get the pan really hot and pour in a couple of tablespoons of non virgin olive oil and add a dallop of chopped dehydrated garlic (or chopped onions) and let it brown while you open a can of grade a baby whole potatoes. Chop these up and chop up a coupla hot dogs and fry 'em up in the pan.
Eat out of pan while standing at sink. Whole deal takes less than ten minutes.

Bon appetit!!
(two lengthy attempts to upload images failed, even tho blogger said they were uploaded...)

J-LO

NOT TOO MUCH LONGER NOW....

It is 9:06 a.m. and Patrick is snoozing on his afghan by my feet.
Caught the Emmies on TV last night and Conan did some superb pre-recorded bits--made the show more palatable.
Now on to the important stuff re Emmies: Evangelline Lily was stunning, and Katherine Heagle looked ravishing.
However, one lady, in one gown was so OUTSTANDING, that she made all the other females look like boys. Carrying around what looked like a few extra pounds, in all the right places, Jennifer Love Hewitt was breathtakingly beautiful, head and shoulders above the rest.

"SUPPLY LIGHT AND NOT HEAT" -Wilson

It is 8:14 a.m. and Patrick is asleep at my feet.

It is neither wise nor prudent ot judge the actions or non-actions of people thru the lens of our culture and not theres. Their norms and mores were different.
Change comes slowly sometimes and with resistance.
The crowd hates to leave the comfort of the norm and venture into the unknown.
The first protestors against a status quo are viewed as rabble-rousers and troublemakers, lone anarchists bent on toppling the established order. Change is not appreciated. And the first soldiers in the movement are zealous and willing to break laws and disrupt the domestic tranquility to further their cause.
But if they persevere, some of their protests become fashionable if they can convert some respected members of society to their cause. The resistance among the uniformed lessens.
At some point the old order becomes anathema to the new truth.
Examples of this here would be Abolition, Sufferage, Negro Rights.
So the actions of any group of people must be viewed in light of these facts, takng into account the historical cultural norms of the times. Can we condemn all of Germany for the Halocaust? All of the south for Slavery? All of the Democrats for segregation? All of the Japanese for the Kami-kazis? All theMUslins for the Arab Radical Terrorists? All Americans for the Infanticide?
Maybe. Maybe not. But History doesn't hold a grudge.

PRIDE GOETH BEFORE A FALL

It's 12.00 a.m. and it only took me six minutes to get here. Patrick's asleep (what else) at my feet. He's tired out from getting petted by all the ladies at an estate sale today.

If they only knew his true ornery nature!

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES

It's 8:07 a.m. and Patrick is asleep at my feet.

The El Paso police just picked up a guy on a routine traffic stop who had numerous wants and warrents. One of them was for MURDER in Ft. Wayne, active since 1991. So he's been sucessful at evading the authorities for what, 15 years? So why did he give the El Paso cop his REAL expired Indiana drivers license? Whoops!

Let's try a photo. It worked! Patrick and Friend at the BAGO bash, on the trail.

TESTING

It's 7:51 a.m., my littel dog is at my feet.
I'm back at the old computer, with the view of the backyard. Last time I tried it, this old machine timed out and I lost a long blog. Let's see what happens this time. Am I back on?

SLOW?

It's 5:33 a.m. and Patrick is at my feet.
Junior took his computer to Ft. Wayne so I'm back on my old one. It took me an astounding 38 minutes to get here, from the time I opened I.E. This will not do. My computer work is really severely limited now. Time between mouse clicks averages over 5 minutes. Is this even possible? There are still 12 items remaining on this page to open. I am back to reading John MacDonald in between screens. I hope this publishes.

DOG HYPOCRIT

It's 6:33 a.m. and since he watched me get dressed, he knows I'm going somewhere, so Patrick is all loveable and clingy, wanting to go along. He's sitting in my lap, (and allowing me to pet him without his usual snarls and growls) and of course, snoozing. But with one ear cocked.
We head out to the 2006 BAGO HotDog Bash in a short while. Cheers!

COLTS LOSE!

BLUE-EYED INDIVIDUAL

OUTLAWS

It's 6:24 a.m. and Patrick is here with me, asleep of course.
Mr. and Mrs. America and all ships at sea:

We are looking for congressonal sponsorship of a proposed federal statue that will mandate that any law enforcement officer who observes a citizen driving too fast in a parking lot with a cell phone glued to their ear must be shot in the head with no warning, and if they survive, shot repeadedly until dead.

I know that might seem extreme, but these are desperate times. Besides it may help to cull out the bad seeds in the gene pool.

Blue eyed (and their allies, green and grey) are superior to brown eyed people. We are directly descended from the original Space Travelers who came to earth 26,000 years ago and mixed with the aboriginal earth peoples.

When we hook up, we can only produce blue eyed babies, not brown. This preserves our superior race.

Soon we will have to leave this planet and find sustenence elsewhere if our hybrid strain is to survive. This planet is reverting back to the way it was ten thousand years ago with a twist: Cave men with not clubs, but weapons of mass destruction, capable of making the planet uninhabitable for humanoids.

Only those with blue eyes and their immediate families, and people I like, will be allowed to join us. The color of your eyes will be your uniform.

Sorry, I didn't make the rules. And That's the way it is, Friday, August 11, 2006. Good night and Good Luck!!

LIARS AND DAMNED LIARS

It's 6:32 a.m. and Earthdog Patrick is outside. Junior is staying with his Grandmother in Ft. Wayne getting ready to start a new college experience up there.

Well, it seems like the blogosphere has exposed more photoshopping by MSM stringers. I wonder how many of these lies have gone unexposed?
Reuters fired their stringer, after making excuses not apologies.

POLLY WANT A CRACKER?

It is 6:17 a.m. and Patrick has retired to his crate to continue snoozing. Junior is at Grandma's.
Just saw a little blurb on TV about "Barkly", a shorty Jack Russell who is a DEAD RINGER for Patrick, specially in profile. He's in a movie called "Stinkers" of Slinkers or something, the narrator slurred the name each time he uttered it. It appears to be a western. I don't know if this report is old or new... I'll google this and see what comes up.

IMAGE TEST

NO IMAGE--BLOGGER FAILS AGAIN

GOOD JOB!

It's 6:44 a.m. and Junior has gone downstairs to sleep in the parlor and Mr. Patrick has dutifully followed him.

The Jews are having a field day with bashing poor Mel Gibson for being an anti-semetic moron. As well they should. And, boy, is the MSM really piling on! What fun for them! These media Jews are not religious Jews, tho. they are Godless, atheistic racial jews. The Hollywood communist "jews" are different from the REAL Jews, like the Israelis. They share the blood but not the passion.

Groups that are "different" from the indigenous culture they move into have always been hated. In this country, (Where we are all immigrants) All immigrant groups in America endured this enmity until they integrated themselves into the culture and assimilated.

The Irish, the Italians, all of them, until they became "Irish-Americans, then just Americans. That is, within the western European racial configuratation.

The same with religious groups.

The Jews, however, by and large , historically, have not assimilaated into their host countries. They are scattered over the four corners of the earth. In each country they settled in, they lived together and maintained their own separate culture, a culture within a culture. Kept their own identity: their own names, their own religion, their own language, education etc. So that fueled the hatred, worldwide. And combined with the fact that they used their superior business and mental skills to become wealthy amidst prevailing poverty, caused resentment in each host country. Especially since the perception was that they attained their wealth in a less than savory manner--money lending, for example.

Anyway, this explains thde world wide anti-semitism of history. (I'm not talking about the other semites, the Arabs, who are just neanderthal bullies, with flawed brains of zombies).

(SIDEBAR: The morons who lead our culture are encouraging illegal alien Hispanics in our country to NOT assimilate, by promoting the Spanish Language... promoting differences between our prevailing culture and theirs which will only lead to conflict. This is spurred by their obvious hatred of our country.)

So the lingering resentment of racial Jews still exists, world-wide, but is dying out now. That's one of the reasons, the homeland of Isreal is so important. It takes the pressure off the host countries for a group that still resists becoming identified with the country they live in, and remain unwelcome guests. Of course this trend is reversing itself at a great pace as our civilizations become more enlightened and tolerent

At least some of them. It seems the Arab world, caught in the grip of a radical "religion" is spiraling back to the stone age. Maybe they will survive it. Christianity survived the insanity of the Catholic Inquisition, and in this country the witch hunts.

The problem is, on a planet where weapons of mass destruction are increasingly easier to obtain, can the civilized tribes of the earth afford to wait on the moslems to wake up? Or will they sadly get together and decide that, for the survival of the Human Race, this particular strain of the gene pool needs to be removed?

I remember when Castro took over Cuba early in 1959. I was about 13, and interested in politics and foreign affairs. I read every paperback book I could get my hands on about the Revolution. Nowadays, out local teleprompter TV reporterettes cannot even pronounce "Raoul"; I know I'm not sure of the spelling. Maybe the reign of terror will now come to an end...If there is a power struggle, I hope we get involved and help liberate Cuba. I want to go to the beach.

Sucessfully added an image but where it is only blogger knows.

HEAT WAVE CONTINUES

It's 6:15 a.m. Junior is probably in Ft. Wayne and the Earthdog is outside.

It is 75 degrees, and we are in for more mid 90's today. Patrick was walking around panting last night. yikes. The big dogs are taking it well, however.Just drinking a lot of water.

Our prayers are with Mel Gibson during his time of hate-spew by the MSM.

No rant today, I'm all ranted out. for now, anyway.

Thought the place need some sprucing up courtesy Idol.
