Al, if you really think characterizing people that you don't know with living a lifestyle you think is derogatory toward them and that that might bring them over to your way of thinking, you're sadly mistaken, and you are the one who sorely needs to examine himself and awaken to the real world.

Few people that know me have called me "dumb" and meant it as a statement of fact and not just a slur. I have an MBA from UNF and a successful career in business behind me.

Yes I have worked hard out in the blazing Florida Sun, am fiercely patriotic, have proudly fought for my country, got an American Flag flying in front of the house, Been a lay leader in my church, own an old Dodge pick-up and a two real Jeeps, have lived out in the sticks where i could pee in the front yard and hold bonfires out back with the kids and the dogs and the girls and the beer, like deer hunting, fishing, country music, and have been known to fly the Confederate Flag on occasion.

And as far as living in a trailer, when I grew up in Florida in the 50's and 60's, many really great people, old and young alike lived in trailer parks. And yes I did live in one in Tampa for awhile when I attended USF in Tampa.

I may not have accomplished all the great things you are in life, or be as rich and Urban and witty as you are, but your little slur, doesn't hurt me, if that's what you were trying to do. Indeed, it gave me pause to reflect on where I've been and my roots and actually feel a little proud.

I know i'm far from being a football guru and don't claim to be, but my wife and I love going to the games or Gators Cafe and rooting for the Orange and Blue. I think my creds as UF Class of 1969 and being a loyal fan for about 50 years allows me to get a little grumpy now and then and disagree with what's going on....

It is 70 degrees here in Palm Harbor at 5:15 a.m. and dark. 51 degrees in Huntington Indiana.

We just found out our yard man is an illegal. He is in the process of selling all his stuff. We are going to drive him to Texas and throw him out of the USA. Sorry.

WHY LSU FANS SMELL LIKE CORNDOGS

The corn dog smell is the smell of cheap rancid cooking oil that is too old, too hot and has too much burned batter in it and needs changing. You know the stuff they cook french fries and onion rings in. You can usually smell it at the county fair when passing food concessions.

If you're using it to cook at a tail-gate, the smoke and grease permeate your skin, hair, and clothes. If you eat enuff of the stuff deep fat fried in it, and it's a hot day, it exudes out of your pores with the sweat, as well as being on your breath.

I learned about this when working at a factory that was just a block away from the "Bell Cafe". If you ate lunch there, and came back to work, people would say "Oh, you went to the Bell" because you had the "Bell Smell". They cooked with rancid grease and their ventilation was almost non-existent, so you absorbed the odors into your clothes and stunk the place up all day.

So the corn dog odor, which is real, is just the odor of rancid deep fat frying grease on the Cajuns clothes and in their sweat. This is the actual truth.

THE PATIENTS ARE RUNNING THE ASYLUM NOW

It's been a hundred and fifty years and we're still feeding, clothing, and sheltering them, only now they don't have to pick the cotton. Now they just sit on the front porch of their cabins and eat watermelons and strum their banjos all day.
