BRAKING NEWS:

Freshman Florida right-side/setter Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Ill.) became the first player in school history to record back-to-back triple-doubles, as she finished with 13 kills, 17 assists and a career-high-tying 15 digs Saturday evening to lead the No. 14/12 Gators to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-21) victory against Mountain West Conference member UNLV in the Cox Pavilion.

The Gators (25-3), who have now won 25 or more matches in each of their last 18 seasons, put together one of their most balanced offensive performances of the season as four players tallied seven or more kills and each of the 13 players who dressed for the match saw action in at least one set.

I think this is Womens' Volley Ball...I like a sport that has "kills". I hope Misty May is recovering from her Dancing Injury...

this poll is whacked too. You let a team score 41 points on you and you move UP in all the polls? A fatal flaw somewhere....

NEWSFLASH SURVIVOR'S CORRINE IS A GATOR!!!

There are a lot of things kept from us, or not just revealed about Survivor contestants.

One thing we do know is that on a show known for extremely hot swim suit models, Corrine Kaplan is head and shoulders above ANY of them in terms of sexiness, from day one until now.

Doubt she'll win tho, as she is a pretty awful person in real life.

But:
SHE GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA IN THREE YEARS ON A FULL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP!!! THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA IS THE BASIS FOR THE GATOR NATION. THE GATOR NATION IS EVERYWHERE!!

From Andy, our Florida Gators Corresp0ndent, commenting on Our Analysis of Gators vs. Tide in the SEC:

I love it! This is great stuff, rick, and it puts into proper perspective what the two teams stack up like in terms of comparing apples/apples. The only thing I would point out is that Florida’s first team offense/defense likely spent considerably less time on the field than Alabama as a result of the Gators’ many decisive blowouts that prompted Meyer to invoke the “mercy rule” and yank the starters. Alabama will be great to play, but I REALLY can’t wait until tomorrow. I keep going back to the 49 points needed to break Spurrier’s total points in a season record. I’d love to see 50+ and I think the starters are in the game until it gets to that point no matter what. Hope it materializes! Go Gators! Andy

LORD OBAMA'S GRANDMOTHER WITNESSED HIS BIRTH IN KENYA

It is 6:55 and 30 degrees. Patrick and Junior are in his room asleep.

GATORS: Well, we watched Texas do what it had to do during Rivalry week, and in good fashion. Now will Florida, Oklahoma, and Alabama do what they need to do against their In-state rivalries?

THE GREAT PRETENDER: From the Extremist---

"The U.S. Constitution requires that the president be a native born citizen. President elect Obama is almost certainly not a native born U.S. citizen. I base this conclusion on the fact that he has chosen to leave the matter in doubt despite how easily he could prove it if it were true.

"His opponent, Senator McCain, had a similar problem, having been born in the Panama Canal zone. But when McCain was confronted by opponents on the issue, he immediately dug up all the records and presented them to whomever was interested. As a result, Congress agreed that as the child of military parents stationed abroad in an American controlled zone, they’d consider him a native born citizen. The passed some kind of resolution saying so..."
