DAY THIRTEEN: WAR ZONE







It is 8:16 a.m. and 34 degrees. Patrick got up out of bed and snuck in here in the Computer Room and curled up on the afghan in front of the space heater.Junior is at friends'and this is the Day The Lord Made.[63 degrees in Clearwater].

All our big trees had 90% of their small brances broken off in our little ice storm, as well as many big branches. So it's foggy this morning and the place looks like a World War One battle ground, kind of eerie. Erie, Indiana, that is...

I'm too sexy for my fur! Too Sexy for my fur!!! I am a feisty little white Jack Russell Terrier. I am quite famous locally as a Geocaching dog and adorable snuggy guy. I live in a 100 year old farmhouse out in the country with Trader Rick, my daddy who is a retired Engineer and musher, and Junior, his college student son who drives a sweet Trans Am and my best buddy. I am the boss of the outside dogs, a slew of Siberian Huskies and wolf dogs. I like rides in the Dakota, chasing kitties, and long walks on the beach in the moonlight. FOOTBALL: Watched exciting game last night, the Colts' last of the season--they lost in the last minutes. Sorry Peyton.

GATORS: watched the Gators on the tube last night in a thriller, they won in the last seconds! Erving Walker is the man at 5'7" tall playing on the defending National Championship team--FIVE -SEVEN! Cool seeing him steal and turn around for a layup!!



UF rallies in second half to beat NC State, 68-66
Gainesville, Fla. - Saturday January 3, 2009

Sophomore guard Nick Calathes (Casselberry, Fla.) hit the game-winning shot with 11 seconds left in regulation to rally Florida to a 68-66 win over North Carolina State on Saturday at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

Calathes scored 24 points in the second half as the Gators overcame a 10-point halftime deficit. His shot with 11 seconds left in the game put Florida up 67-66 and he hit a free throw with three seconds remaining to clinch the win.

The win was the sixth in a row for Florida (12-2), while the Wolfpack dropped to 9-3.
