DAY SIX: RAIN

It is 8:46 a.m. and 31.1 degrees F. Very Windy. Patrick and Junior are asleep in his bedroom.(Clearwater, Fla.: 65 degrees and clear) Miami just loses to Cal last night in bowl game. More later.

Addazio named UF offensive coordinator

" ...Meyer decided the best candidate was right here at home, naming Gators’ offensive line coach Steve Addazio as his new coordinator Saturday...


"...Billy Gonzales, Kenny Carter and John Hevesy will continue to be involved in the offensive game planning and playcalling as they have all year.”

Addazio takes over the role of Dan Mullen, the new head coach at Mississippi State who served as Meyer’s offensive coordinator in Meyer’s four seasons at UF. Mullen returned to Gainesville after Christmas and will be the Gators’ offensive coordinator for the BCS Championship Game against Oklahoma.

Addazio, a former offensive coordinator at Indiana, has worked with Meyer for six seasons, four at UF and two at Notre Dame, where the two were assistant coaches.
