WE ARE BACK
IT IS 6:09 p.m and 10 degrees, and dark. Junior is on a kerosene/ dog food run and Patrick is in front of the space heater.
Over 100,000 people were without electricity in Ft. Wayne. Some won't get power until after Christmas.
We have been out of electricity for 4 days, with temps dipping below zero and wind chills to twenty below. We had an arctic storm blow thru and have more tons of lumber in the yard than we have ever had. Trees are decimated.
The huskies loved it; we have been living in forty degree weather, inside. Thankfully I've been delirious for the last few days, mini-stroke I think, now just sick.
It's taken all day for the upstairs to get up to 63 degrees. Downstairs is creeping up to the thirties, now.
During my delirium, I decided to move back to Florida as soon as I can unload this old mansion, maybe sooner, target next fall. Sell everything off, start fresh, unencumbered.
Junior spent all day researching places for sale on google earth. This is the last stroke. (no pun intended.)
I'm too old for this shit.
Praise the Lord!
We actually looked at a childhood friend's house in our old neighborhood that is up for sale.
That's all for now.
GO GATORS
