WILL THIS EVER END?
It is 16.1 degrees here in Eden and at 6:57 a.m., Junior and Brian are asleep in Junior's room.
MEDIA: Glad to see Bob win Survivor, he deserved it. Our Gator Girl Corinne confirmed that she has no soul, and poor little Sugar, I guess, proved to be the persona non grata that the rumors indicated: She went out of her way to disrespect the jury at Final and received NO votes...
I just listened to a rendition of the National anthem sung by five Little girls (aged 6-8) at a Texas Tech bb game. It ranks up there with the best I've ever heard including Whitney Houston, and the guitar solo at Woodstock by what-his-name--Hendricks? UPDATE: OK, so after a little research ,they are the "Cactus Cuties"--four of them and they were on this year's Jerry Lewis Telethon and they are spectacular--You can listen to them on various U-Tube clips.
Try to U-tube it, it's worth it! On of the brite spots among today's worries. Hope they get some notoriety for this--If I was a record producer, I'd sign them up on the spot. Maybe they are already, who knows?
GATORS: Since we haven't heard anything one way or the other, I assume the new Starkville Hero will be coaching in the BCS Championship game. I'm sure Meyer knows what he's doing, eh? Update: Now it appears he'll be there, but not call the plays...WTF?
POLITICS:Colin "Big Turd", as his troops used to call him Powell has now secured his place in history as a less than worthless bystander. Attacking Rush Limbaugh that way he has lately just reinforces this turncoat's apparent senility. Now he's saying Rush, who supported McCain should be be kicked out of the party, while he, who supported the Marxist Chicago Mob candidate, should define the parameters of the Republican party. Uh, reality check due here, Mr. Powell!
When great men succumb to Alzheimer's, they should be put away...so as not to embarrass their legacy. Not saying Powell, a product of the Bushes, was great, I'm just sayin'.
GO GATORS BREAK SOONERS HEARTS!!
Tim Tebow, Florida; "I'm sorry. Extremely sorry. You know, we were hoping for an undefeated season. That was my goal, something Florida's never done here. But I promise you one thing; a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. And you will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season. You will never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season. God Bless."
