GATORS: NEWS TIDBITS--
1.'Star wide receiver Percy Harvin will play in next Thursday's BCS Championship Game.
That was the word from UF coach Urban Meyer moments after the Gators arrived from Gainesville on their American Airlines charter flight.
"He's playing," Meyer said. "Unless there is a setback (in practice). He's good. He should practice (today)."'
2. NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops earned $3 million when the calendar flipped.
A clause in Stoops’ contract — approved in 2005 by the university’s board of regents — provided for the 48-year-old coach to receive a so-called “stay bonus” of $3 million after completing 10 seasons as the Sooners’ coach.
