“I’ve always really liked Katie’s work. I think she does a good job and she’s a good journalist, but I think, by trying to put her into a completely different format, she’s gone from being sort of an exuberant presence to someone who looks like they’ve been kidnapped and drugged and are making a hostage tape.” —former CBS News producer Mary “fraudulent documents” Mapes on Katie Couric

A good port or old vine zin and chocolate is a standard here in wine country. I like to pour a little good port wine over some vanilla or butter pecan icecream, a very tasty treat.
Rick the geocache trip looked like a blast. If I may , I would like to add a twist, document how much garbage you carry out as well. I am a peak bagger so I know the rules of the road so to speak. Make the trips a litter collection trip as well. I carry a large garbage bag on every hike and remove all litter. Rick, I am going to put a tribute to you in my first cache, I'd put my dogs in a roof top carrier with no problem, ever ride a motorcycle, umm, horse trailers. Dude it ain't an issue, I was raised around huntin' dogs and pickup trucks. You want to bash on Mitt but you have a long way to go, Roll Tide Roll.
All geocachers practice what we call "CITO" which stands for Cache In, Trash Out--I drive a pick-up, and have hauled sled dogs in it, and on a trailor, but I would never put a dog in a carrier on the top of the cab. I'd be willing to bet 99% of dog people would agree with me. You'd never see a beagle man do that. Have you ever seen it done??
