LOTS OF DOGS

Mary Tyler Moore stated yesterday on The View: " One dog can give birth to 76,000 puppies over a seven year period." No one called this TV icon on that ludicrous statement. I guess she meant to say that that would be the total of the offspring if the dog gave birth to litters twice a year and each subsequent puppy did the same...Anyway, we are all for No-kill shelters and spaying and neutering, but question weather Hollywood folks are the best spokesmen for causes--When asked how to adopt some of the dogs she brought with her, she did a double take and blurted out "I don't know!"--yes, she appeared a little ditzy.
We believe owning a pet is a lifetime committment and casually discarding them at shelters is abhorrent.
On a more happy note, It appears the Surge in Iraq is suceeding, albeit slowly. You won't hear that on the news, tho.
Pick up the bible, open it randomsly to a chapter in the New Testament, point your finger and see what you get:
Luke 11:5 :
Then he said to them,.."So I say to you:Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
