It is 6:37 a.m. and 73.6 degrees out and clear. Patrick is downstairs snoozing with Junior.

The town east of here is on a water advisory. We haven't had a decent rain in weeks. Haven't had to mow in weeks. Grass is brown and crackily under foot. It's been in the late eighties or early nineties every day for weeks. Thunderstorms predicted for tonight.

This global warming thing is brutal. Just a few months ago it was freezing. At this rate, the curve predicts a winter with no freezing, then temps in the 130's next summer. I give us no more than five years to last as a planaet before we spontaneously ignite, using AlGore's power point graphing techniques...
