Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?

The Gospel of John (20: 7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Is that important? You'd better believe it! Is that significant? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do w/ the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.

Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table.

For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm done". But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, "I'm not finished yet."

The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

HORRIFIC "JOURNALISTS"

It is 7:36 a.m. and Junior and Patrick have retired to the parlor to snooze.

As a trained historian and journalist, I am horrified at the treasonous behavior of the drive-by media. It is a shameful stain on the American landscape. History will judge these misguided morons for the evil-doers they are.

All the MSM is wailing and moaning over the "horrific" attacks by Isreal on "innocent" women and children by the Jews on Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon.

We daily get video of death and destruction, mothers crying etc. in the Arab country, and NOTHING ABOUT THE SUFFERING OF THE JEWS, who have endured 4,000 rocket attacks in the last few weeks. It's disgraceful.

The MSM is a pawn and public relations agent of the Terrorists, and I don't know why, unless it's just another manifestation of their hatred of the President and the American people.

These moms and kids being killed in Lebanon are COMBATANTS under the Geneva convention. They are willingly and gladly harboring Hezbollah murderers and providing them with food, shelter and Launching sites for their rockets and missiles.

This stone age culture has no regard for human life, not theirs or their enemies, or their childrens'. The Hezbollah "fighters" use children as human shields. They believe if they die in a Satanic "Holy " war they will be rewarded with 77 whores in hell, or some such nonsense.

Radical Islam is not a religion. It certainly has nothing to do with the God of Abraham. It is a Satanic cult of the Anti-Christ, and it's soldiers are zombies, let by the Angels of Hell.

This war is not a war for territory or religion or politics or race. This World War Against Terrorism is a war against the demons of hell on earth.

There are no "innocents" here. You are either on the side of humanisty and civilization and the Right or your on the side of the Genocidal maniacs of Radical Islam. There is no in-between. period.

And now a double whammy for the MSM, they get to bash Mel Gibson for being drunk and anti-semetic.They're devoting as much time to that as they are the war in Isreal. The MSM is equal opportunity haters. They hate the Jews, and the Christians...

Thank God we have talk radio and the Internet bloggers to counteract all this insanity.
