"TIM TEBOW AND THE GATORS" DISMANTLE NATIONAL CHAMPS LOUISIANA STATE

#1623: Junior and Earthdog Patrick are asleep on a couch in the living room. That being said it is 48 degrees at 7:42 here in the Valley.

CARS:I drove the Jeep down and Junior took his Trans Am to the Rochester Car Show yesterday. Big show, about 400 + cars, all parked around the courthouse. Show was really spread out, so we could not hear the public address system. This show has outgrown the venue, it should be moved.

Once we got parked, and registered, we started to show prep our vehicles, as per normal. Registration was from 9-12:00; we got there around ten. The norm at these shows is that judging starts once registration is closed. This gives everybody time to clean up the road grime off their cars, and get them all spiffed up. Not so yesterday. We didn't even have our hoods up, when the Judges came by--we hadn't been there ten minutes. We protested to no avail. So, screwed again. I consider this another show in which we were not judged. A lot of people got screwed on this one--I think the guy behind us was still registering when they came by...

So it goes.

GEOCACHING: Did a little caching while we were in town--urban caches suck! Put me in the woods anyday. I don't know why the cachers in town feel like they have to hide micros in parking lots under lamp post skirts, when there is a perfectly good park in town...

We hid cache #600 the other day, and it has what we hope is a hard puzzle with the help of Che K--she solved it and helped us make it harder. It's a tricky find as well.

Ate lunch at a sports bar, with excellent fish sandwich and the coldest bottles of PBR I have ever drank--ICE COLD in their beer garden! The three couples at the umbrella table next to us were amusing themselves by loudly telling negro jokes. Found that really bizarre in that venue. Kind of strange. tHE rEUBLICAN hq IN TOWN WAS out OF mCcAIN-pALIN STUFF...

In the 55^th meeting of the University of Florida and Louisiana State University, the No. 11 Gators (5-1, 3-1 SEC) upset the No. 4 Tigers (4-1, 2-1), 51-21, in front of a crowd of 90,684 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday night. Led by a stellar defense and an electrifying offensive charge, the Gators racked up 475 yards of offense, including 265 yards rushing against the Tigers.

I predicted the Gators would kick LSU's ass, but didn't really believe it. They were due, and with Tebow' s emotional mea culpa after the Mississippi loss, and his promise to work harder that any other football in the country--we had faith.

Maybe our BCS championship hopes are not dead after all? Beating #3 (not four) in the Nation defending national champions and by thirty points must have some pull with the coaches--we should leapfrog up in the polls to at least #6 IMHO.

AT THE END OF THE FIRST QUARTER, THE GATORS HAD 186 YARDS OF OFFENSE TO THE TIGERS 4 (YES, FOUR). Their running baack Chas. Scott was limited in the game to 35 yards on 12 carries for a 2.9 yd. average. In contrast, Demps had 129 yards on ten carries...

I guess we have changed the name of our team. Vern Lundquist referred to the team as "Tim Tebow and the Gators". Heheheheheheheheheheheheh!

LET'S HOPE THIS IS THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE.

BTW, sorry about your luck, Michigan (2-4) -- Hope you make it to a bowl--but TOLEDO???
