It is 6:31 a.m. and dark out and 15.3 degrees out. I tucked Patrick into his pup tent in the Recliner.

I bet Mick Hubert screamed out his loudest "OH MY!" last night, since the Gators won the National Basket ball Championship.

It brought a lump to my throat and tears to these old eyes to see Coach Meyer and all the Gator Team assembled together to hear the news that they were going to play in the BCS National Championship Game in Glendale against Ohio State.

Our sincere condolences to a fine team, Michigan. We actually do know how you feel, and it's a sick, helpless feeling. We will be rooting for you in the Rose Bowl vs. Southern Cal. Not a bad consolation prize, but been there, done that...

Found this email from Junior this morning, summing up our elation:

On a related matter, Coach Spurrier just got a half mil raise from USC and a contract extention until the end times. Sure hope UF rewards Coach Meyer with a big monetary thank you!!
