TWELVE HOURS TO ZULU

It's 6:16 a.m. and 39.1 degrees and dark out. Patrick is asleep on his afghan at my feet in front of the space heater. Weather or not he gets to ride into town with me this morning will depend on the temp and the forecast...get it?

Roughly twelve hours until the Gators face Auburn in the National Championship Game. Only two teams right now are truly playing for the National Championship each week. Florida and No. 1 Ohio State. If they win, they get to play for the championship again next week. If they lose, their fate is in the hands of others, and somebody else plays a championship game.

It's tough. If the Gators lose tonight, we can't be too mad at them. Unless they lose by a few points because of something stoopid. Well, It's been a grand ride this year up til now. It's the Gators to lose at this point. They are fully capable of doing this. Or not. We'll see.
