It is 5:14 ( took only six minutes to get here, while computer was happily downloading crap it wanted all on it's own). Patrick is still in bed. It's raining out, dark, and 54.2 degrees F.

Today's word: Per-nick-et-y , adj. attentive to trifles; overnice; fussily particular.

Strange, I always thought it was Per-SNICK-et-y. huh!

A note about the Brawl at the Miami- Florida International game. First of all these two teams shouldn't be playing each other. Second, Miami has suspended a bunch of players for one game--OK as far as it goes. A lot of the players were probably out there just to protect their team mates. But a careful viewing of the video should be made , and further sanctions taken . The player who has been identified as swinging his helmit should be cut from the team, as well as those stomping people on the ground. Coach says he has things under control, but we question that in light of the fact that this is the third recent incident. It's shaping up like these guys are just a bunch of thugs. ACC has stepped in but maybe NCAA needs to take a look at this program... FIU plays Alabama? next week--who is scheduling this stuff? I hope, since they are going into the game without a dozen or so starters, Alabama is kind to them...BTW, the moron cable sportscaster, a former Hurricane player, was fired for his idiotic comments supporting the brawl on the air...
