It's 5:56 a.m. and Patrick has joined Junior downstairs to start his second sleeping shift.
The little white dog took a refreshing dip in the Salamonie River yesterday in balmy 90 degree weather.. He got to chase some squirells too .
We have possums, groundhogs, field mice, moles, coons, and rabbits on our little island in the Corn Sea. But no squirells or chipmunks.--I don't know why. There's enuff trees. They just haven't migrated this far I guess. Maybe now that we have an acorn crop, they'll come.
I learned long ago that squirells are smarter than humans and there's no use fighting them. Maybe if I installed anti-squirell devices on the bird feeders, word would get out and they'd come, just out of spite? Maybe if I learned to spell Squirell?
More later.
