Grumpy's Tap Room stands on its own merit and rides the coattails of no one. The facility has been completely re-modeled with new bars, barstools, tables, floors, bathrooms, etc. and the kitchen is clean. The menu is different, and draft beers are served as Pints. It has the true feel of an Old Florida Beach Bar, with a steady stable of friendly regulars--like the corner Mom & Pop Taverns of the Urban Mid West...And of course Original Pabst Blue Ribbon on Tap is always a clear winner!

Hi Trader Rick! Mary and I are so pleased that you love the new and improved "Grumpys". He had no choice but to upgrade seeing how we owned everything but the building. Had he shown any interest in his investment he could still be sitting home taking in 50k a year. I sit back and laugh while you drink your $1.50 PBR's and know that wont cover the Progress bill! PBR is a dollar beer at best and we share that with our customers at Billy Jacks. He saw an opportunity and now its his is...
Hi Rick, this is Bill, Grumpy Mary's husband. In looking back you wrote some pretty nice reviews on our behalf and I am most appreciative. I am also glad that you have found such a great establishment where everything is much better now than the previous three years we conducted business there? However, I would be so totally remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to clarify some key points in your oh so sweet rant. He had no choice but to replace all of the wonderful new amenities that you so enjoy. Kind of a funny story but, well, Ill sum it up... he thought he owned everything that was mine. What you don't see is the sewage that is seeping beneath the floor at the east end of the bar. Oh yeah, he did business with no hot water for several months in addition to not having a food license, among others... and the sour cream infraction, ewww ( ledgerdata.com)
We worked very hard for three years and received not one penny of financial support from the landowner. We paid a SUBSTANTIAL amount of rent in riding out our lease and come renegotiation time, with the building falling down, he tried to raise the rent 15k a year. Our attorneys research brought back this incredible fact... Caddys on the Beach paid less per square foot!!! So you know PBR is still only a dollar at our new place. I am sure you won't have the balls to let "your world" read this but if you need any more facts give me a call at 813-466-9757. Enjoy your last couple PBR's with this thief because they are closing soon! Have a great summer!
