WABASH CANNONBALL CHILI COOK-OFF

Junior and I went Saturday to check out the equipment used, etc. for our Future Gator Chili Team. Model A Club was lingering as well...
Here are some back stage looks at this CASI sanctioned event, the largest in Indiana --Over 90 Chili cooks entered. I didn't taste any chili as good as mine.
I am recruiting Team Members for Gator Chili, and have already been rejected by one area chef. Oh well. BTW, one unique thing for events in this park was a beer vendor. Well...
You have to cook the meat on site, and only in open class can you add fillers, like macaroni or beans. I think we'll stick to the CASI rules-- meat spices and sauce.
Anybody with superior chili recipes send them in. Thanks
NOTE: These pics are first taken with my new 59 dollar Nikon, which fetures an actual on-off button, so I am well pleased...
