ZUMA STRIKES AGAIN
LATEST ROUND WITH ZUMA:
MY REPLY TO THE REVIEWER, THE REVIEWERS EMAIL TO ME, AND ZUMA'S EMAIL TO THE REVIEWER:
Hilts,
His idea that only Republicans show support for our troops is ludicrous at best. I've never heard such poppycock. His position is degrading to Democrats, Libertarians and Independents. There is nothing "subliminal". The icons DO NOT read Support President Bush, no matter how much he says they do.
America is at war on two fronts.
I don't think my Support the Troops icons are offensive to anybody; I don't think they constitute an agenda. They are mostly on ISQ's, that deal with caches in cemeteries that honor INdiana pioneers and veterans. There is NO "overt political posturing" as he claims.
This guy is mad at me because I deleted his finds on two puzzle caches where he did not complete the additional logging requirements. If my support of our soldiers and sailors is upsetting and distasteful to him, I'll be willing to bet he can't find a lot of geocachers who would admit to agreeing with him.
I'm not inclined to remove those image logos at this point in time. I will agree to removing the written statement in support of our troops and will begin deleting them. I did remove the word "Jihadistan" from the cache pages where I found it, so he is wrong there. Those ISQ cache pages were approved by at least four different reviewers with the logos on them. By my estimate there have been over 40,000 logs on ISQ's. His is the only complaint about the Troops logos.
I think it would be a shame if these caches, which have for the most part brought many geocachers a lot of fun and education (as evidenced by the logs) have to be archived because of one disgruntled individual.
That is my position on the matter at this time. I am not so rigid in my thinking that I cannot be persuaded to change my opinion, but so far I see no merit in his arguments. If Groundspeak considers urging Americans to generically support our Troops (not a particular war) is "right-wing propaganda"and a political agenda, then I guess I will have to see them archived. A shame.
Respectfully,
Rick, SixDogTeam
