Captain's Log, stardate 2008.1.1: It is 8:33 a.m. and 24.5 degrees out. Patrick is at my feet on his afghan and Junior is at friends'.



Our predicted 5-9 inches of snow turned out to be little more than an inch. A lot of our precipitation was in the form of rain, and the main storm passed north of us.



Our beloved UFS Bulls only had one half of big league football in them, as THE HAPLESS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME PLAYERS disintegrated in the second half and fell to Oregon 56-21. :( Kentucky held on, however to beat a depleted FSU by seven. And the premier game of the day saw Auburn win over Clemson in a thrilling 23-20 OT victory. Sorry Bowdens...



Gators take on Michigan and Lloyd Carr in a few hours. No Heisman curse here. This is the year of the Gators next Mythical National Championship!!



While we're on the subject, our sincere condolences to Oklahoma's DeMarcus Granger, who has let his team down and won't be starting in their bowl game, as he just bonded out of jail on a shoplifting charge and was sent home. He admitted to removing the anti-theft device and hiding a coat in the bottom of a bag...Making him a HUGE MORON--hope this doesn't impede his progress toward becoming a millionaire in the NFL.



"DeMarcus" by the way is not a real name. It is one of those In-your-face-Honky-WhiteMan made up racist monikers that radical-racist African American leaders have promoted among their constituents in a bizarre attempt to create a culture of separation...
