It is 7:30 am and partly cloudy, 55.6 degrees and breezy. My Jack Russell Terrier is asleep at my feet, curled up on his afghan.

Gas has reached a new average high price at $3.18 per gallon. It's $3.36 here in Flyover Territory.

The white house has responded to Jimmah Carter's characterization of the Bush Administration as the "worst in history" (maybe he's confusing it with HIS?) with the comment that the former president is "increasingly irrelevant" BRILLIANT! I wonder if the white house is reading this blog? I HAVE had some recent visitors from Virginia...

Speaking of Virginia, the 400th Anniversary of the founding of America by Englanders has passed and we missed it--MSM let us down again.

The Virginia Company, none of whom, by the way, could speak Spanish (In those days, hispanics were the enemy, hmmm...) landed on our shore on May 14th 1607--Remember Captain John Smith (an obvious alias, I wonder if he was an ILLEGAL ALIEN GUY?)

“Four hundred years ago... the first English settlers arrived in the New World. They were not Pilgrims. The Mayflower would not set sail for another 13 years. They were settlers organized by a group of investors incorporated as the Virginia Company.
