IT TAKES A VILLAGE
It is 7:57 a.m. and 42.8 degrees out and Patrick is still in bed, for some reason.
Just heard on the news that our Governator is pushing for "full day kindergarten". Some goofy poll said 75% of the people in the state are in favor of it, and half woUld pay higher taxes to get it.
Excuse me, BULLSHIT!! Those bastards are in favor of it, so they could park their brats in school instead of having to arrange for daycare. And they don't pay taxes anyway. They're lazy parents. Ophra was right when she said she wanted to help little black girls in Africa get an education when she learned little black kids in America felt entitled and just wanted ipods and sneakers. The Government should issue sneaker coupons as well as food coupons, I say. I was lucky enough to make enough money when my son was young that his mother did not have to work, and could take care of him fulltime. Not so sure that was a good idea in retrospect.
Speaking of sneakers, somebody is marketing GPS sneakers that track where your kid is, as long as he keeps his shoes on. A real bargain at three hundred a pair, plus monthly service fee...

The little leprechauns (sp?) are slap bitches to LSU TIGERS!!! Total meltdown of Irish in second half, and even the drive-by media is laughing about it....

Trader Rick, I agree 100% with your comments about Full-Day Kindergarten. I have NO idea where the poll came up with 75% of the people supporting the idea. I think, like you, that all it will do is provide free daycare for those who think it is more important to keep up with the Jones than to provide their children with the love and nurturing they need. And to think, I supported Mitch...
The sooner the government can get our kids, the sooner they can start indoctrinating them. I didn't go to kindergarten myself, but I read at a second grade level when I started school. The results of an attentive family.
