GOOD NIGHT JERRY


It is 8:07 a.m. and raining at 41 degrees F. Patrick is asleep at my feet on his afghan in front of the space heater. I shook President Ford's hand in St. Petersburg. He had yellow teeth. He was in way over his head. He will not stand out in history for that because of the contrast of the collosal ineptitude of his sucessor, an obscure peanut farmer from Georgia -talk about an inadequate resume...and one who continues to embarrass his country all over the world.
