GATORS SOAR TO #8 WHILE SITTING ON BENCH...

The bye week was good to Florida. The Gators stayed 6th in the BCS, but moved from 10th to 8th in the Coaches poll in a week that saw #10 Notre Dame, #9 Tennessee (Who the Gators beat, by the way), #12 Texas and #5 Texas all dodge bullets, avoiding upsets, narrowly...The Rowdy Reptiles stayed in the 9th slot in the AP.



The Big Ten has three teams in the Top 25, while the SEC has SIX.

Winning is everything. If you lose narrowly to a highly ranked opponent, you WILL drop 6-10 spots in the polls. If you win narrowly against an unranked team in the last few seconds, you MIGHT lose a spot or two, but not likely...We don't think the Coaches take strength of schedule (The conference you play in) into account enuff...
