DNF

It's 10:28 a.m. and guess where Earthdog Patrick is? Asleep on his afghan at my feet. He likes to be wherever I am. He doesn't like to let me out of his sight. I think he's afraid he'll miss out on something.



Patrick and I just got back from not finding a geocache. Logged a Did Not Find. Oh well. According to one of the logs on one of my caches, Patrick went caching without me with Junior and Kewpie Doll. Nobody mentioned that to me, that Patrick was along with them. I was out in town at the time. Wonder what else the wee doggie has been up to that he's keeping mum about?



Bought a waterfall front dust, dingy China Cabinet at the auction the other night. Stole it for thirty bucks. Has hand made, not machine made, joinery in the drawer so I know it's quite old. Anyway, polished the wood with linseed oil, brasso'd the hardware with fine steel wool, glued some veneer back on. Only thing left is to re-install missing glass in one of the doors. It's really beautiful now, veneer looks like mahogany. You can't buy furniture like this (All Wood) anymore without paying a small fortune. Nowaday's crap is woodgrained vinyl shelf liner over particle board with plastic braces and masonite. Don't get it wet, it will disolve. Don't disasemble it, you won't get it back together (screws go into particle board once or twice that's it.)



Anyway, I'm going to rearrange the parlor and install the Cabinet there. Don't know what I'll put in it yet, but there's plenty of crap around here to choose from...



Haven't really heard anymore on MSM about that asshole who deliberately stomped the Dallas Cowboy while he was on the ground, causing 31 stitches worth of damage to his face. His coach rushed over to the Dallas coach to apologize and assure him they would deal with him harshly if the league didn't. Will have to research it I guess. I saw the video. This guy should be banned from football forever. But, professional sports is a billion buck bizness, and if Tyson can bite ears off and still fight...
