WE SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT
We are listening to President Bush's press conference on TV as I write this.
Helen Thomas, who decades ago outlived her usefulness and ought to give up her seat to someone who deserves it, challenged the President with a question on WHY we are in Iraq, with the premise that the President WANTED to go to war from the first day he stepped in the office. Bush did a brilliant job of denying her premise, stating NO president WANTS to go to war, and answering the question, while repeatedly having to stop her from interrupting him. At the end, he disarmed the situation, by cracking a joke that had Helen laughing. I don't know how he can do this. The man is a Saint. I would have wanted to puncher her in the face. He is a man of great charm and wit.
Although we think it is time to figure out how to accomplish our goals and get the hell out of the middle east, we support the President and his decisions one hundred per cent.
Who does that old bag think she is?? She needs to retire.
These Washington press corp types think they are so smart, but they can't hold a candle to the president. And that's the way it is.

Maybe we should have considered how we would accomplish our goals before we invaded Iraq.
More troops. More Armor. More international cooperation. More intelligence. A president and a Secretary Of Defense that actually listened to men who wear uniforms for a living. Couldn't have hurt.
Damn right TR, God Bless America and God Bless our troops.
