THE WATCH
A friend of my Father's gave him a Rolex watch. The watch was valued at about 6-8,000 dollars. Then the friend died (perhaps he knew the end was near and was leaving his stuff to people as gifts? I don't know). Several years later, my Father passed away.
When I enquired of his wife about the watch, she said she gave it to the widow of the friend. I don't know if this is true or not. I do know she stole sixty thousand dollars in cash from me, tho, among other things. I was his heir, but she kept his organ, his camera, his golf cart, his car, and even gave her adult children first pick of his oil paintings... (The ones she didn't want --they had sentimental value, no commerical value of note) .
What made me think of this? Well I bought a fake Rolex from a friend at work for thirty dollars. It's a perfect copy, not like some of those that alter the name on the dial. A real counterfeit. I really like it. I only wear it on special occasions, like going to court when being sued, or shoveling snow. I had a friend years ago that had one, and he used it to pose, with his wrist on the bar, to attract females.)
Any way, last night I had a dream that I had another watch, a jeweled one that I thought was a fake and found out it was worth a hundred grand. To me, a hundred grand is a fortune, a life-altering sum. Hmmm......
You knew Joakim Noah's father was an international Tennis Star. Did you know his Mother was a Miss Sweden and second runner up at a Miss Universe pageant? Did you know beavers are rodents? Did you know Robert E. Lee was one of Americas Greatest Heroes?
