I will never understand why they like USC so much in these polls. It is a weak conference, college football is played in the South and Mid-West. The SEC rules at this time as it always has. USC is all flash and no football, defense. Florida has combined the two best and should be #1. The press has never given the SEC the credit it deserves in its polls. Do the coaches just like to build up USC so they can be torn down?
We think the Gators are over-ranked, but we'll take it! UF lost it's defense, but Offensse should be even better--but team is VERY VERY YOUNG--Only a few seniors will start. And the younger ones need to stop getting arrested for smoking weed...
I always take these early polls with a tablespoon of salt, I usually start paying attention around mid-season when anything can happen any given saturday.
