HAPPY DAD'S DAY

It is 7:05 a.m. and 73.3 degrees outside. Patrick is downstairs sleeping with either Junior or a neighbor kid. These sleeping lumps all look alike to me, and the little white dog doesn't discriminate--he'll sleep with anybody.

Junior and I hosted a very late night bonfire at Camp Serenity last night. Seems three neighbor kids were temporarily homeless, while their mom dealt with the cops on account of a drunken fit she was throwing. Spoke to the re-married Dad on their Cell phone, he told me he owed me one. Hope it's a trip on his boat... Anyway the hit of the night was quarter pound hot dogs roasted over the fire courtesy a run to Wally World by Junior. And they brought me a loaner copy of Mel Gibson's Apocolypto to view.

Interesting movie-but ending was predictable. Really portrayed the Mayans in a bloodthirsty and negative way, tho, don't know what the deal was there.

I would have portrayed the Spaniards a little more dramatically, tho. Snorting, sweaty, charging horses with armored conquistadors on board... Another scorcher predicted here in the Crossroads of America today. Did have a little thunderstorm last night tho...
