It's 6:56 a.m. and Patrick is antsy, cause he knows we're going out. Moon is waxing gibbous with 98% visible disk illuminated.

Caught the first ten minutes of Katie Couric's first newscast, then threw up in my mouth and turned it off. Watching that every nite would make me want to go suck a tailpipe.

She set the tone early and with no mistake: She'll not report the news, she'll editorialize and spin it, creating a beautifully crafted propaganda piece each nite, with the main target being POTUS.

One of her first acts was to "interview" a NY Times reporter!! Arghhhhh!!!!

I can just imagine being a fly on the wall during her negotiations with CBS: "Katie, WE had to jettison that senile old fool Dan RAther, becasue his hatred of George Bush and America was getting just too transparent, what with his making up fake documents and all. We want you to showcase your hatred of Christianity and America in a much more subtle way. Rip GW a new asshole every nite, but with a perky smile and a twinkle in your eye.

"The main thing is to tear down America, get rid of Representative Government and all religion, to prep America to be subservient to a world order run by toothless morons in Africa. WE know that's what you want too. Just don't act that way...."

I hope Americans aren't too dumb to see thru this.

She's MUCH more of a threat to the American Way of Life than Dan Rather ever was.
