MOON BATTERY DOT COM ON SCOTT ZUBOWSKI
THIS IS WHAT MOON BATTERY DOT COM HAS TO SAY:
Cindy Sheehan squeezed every second out of the 15 minutes she purchased by exploiting her son's death. In contrast, decent women who honor their sons' sacrifices don't get much attention from the press. Barbara Weitzel is a case in point. Her son, Marine Lance Corporal Scott Zubowski, died at age 20 during combat operations in Fallujah.
"My son, who was a very, very good man, gave his life so that I could have this nice house and live comfortably and fearlessly," said Weitzel. "My boy chose this and if I were to have regrets I would be dishonoring his choices, dishonoring his service, dishonoring the country that he serves."
If Weitzel were looking for media adulation, she would be going about it all wrong. But what she is doing is respecting her son's memory, and she is doing right.

I am as devasted as you that we have lost another young man to the war, I hope to be able to attend his services also just to show my support to his family.
One note of caution, I did see that you had posted earlier about the idiots that 'claim' to be a religious organzation (actually it is made up of mostly one family) that protest at military members services. Those people are just looking for a reason to sue anyone that confronts them physically so they can collect money. I know that, like you, I would like to tear their eyes out but the military has cautioned us, as military families members to do nothing other than block their view of the grieving family memebers. If there are there, we plan on bringing a few flags big enough to make sure they see NOTHING and noone can see them. There are several other Marine mothers that I know that will attend also, we protect our own.
Thank you for your support of our military.
hugs
Tami
