THE ALIEN AMONG US

The original Star Trek TV series is classic literature of the masses--Pure Good vs. Pure Evil. Spock is the flawed character who is ruled by Logic but has no emotion. Kirk is the Hero who has both, but is perhaps ruled by his heart more often than by his head. After all, he had his share of Green -skinned girlfriends.

Today's ultra-leftists, led by Hussein O'bama, are like Spock--They are soul-less creatures who have empty hearts. They care nothing for their country, their race, their comrades. They worship at the alter of logic and think they are superior for doing so. They even admit it. (Michelle was never proud of her country--Just what country is that, Michelle?)

On the battlefield Logic dictates one to run towards safety--Emotion keeps you in the fray, sacrifising all for your comrades.

What a dismal world the communists live in with no love in their hearts. No love for Country, State, heritage, race, family, spouse--just empty arrogant logic. How sad for them.

Captain Kirk is Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush. Spock is the ghoulish Pelosi and Reid...and the treacherous O'Bama.

The Manchurian candidate may have risen to the heights of political power but he will never know the simple happiness that millions of real Americans enjoy every day--Love of Life, Love of Country, love of a Woman and children.

Captain Kirk and Spock--The American Tragedy.

EARTHQUAKE!

It is 5:59 a.m. and 56.2 degrees. Patrick, Junior and I and the Border are all here in the Computer Room, having been aroused by an Earthquake in Illinois. Junior is making a report to the USGS. The cats are in Room #4.

At the time of the tremors, I was in bed, getting ready to get up, Patrick was with me as well and awake. The event lasted about 20 seconds and started as a small ticking sound of something shaking, then the bed and the whole house shook (The boarder was awakened by it), then it receded, then there was an immediate aftershock. Junior had just gotten into bed, and during the event came in to my room. We got dressed and took a torch outside and looked around and checked on the big dogs, who were still until we approached. By then we had convinced ourselves it was a quake.

Here is the initial report , now it is 5 pages long, and reports from as much as 400+ miles away from the perceived epicenter:

LIARS AND PRETENDERS

Patrick E. Brownspot STOLEN VALOR : Blumenthal's arrogant defense of his statements that he served in Vietnam has raised the bar for Democrat lies: they are "misplaced words". Yeah, that's it.

Friday, May 21, 2010

It is 5:23 in Palm harbor and 75 degrees (60 degrees in Huntigton, Ind.) and everybody is asleep except zippy and Bing. cOURTNEY fRIEL IS fOX'S HOTTEST ANCHOR--wE LOVE HER.

It's about time that America's ill-conceived flirtation with an exotic foreigner as President comes to an end. It's not working out the way it was planned, at least not for middle America.

There is only one National Leader who is conducting a WORLD APOLOGY TOUR bashing his own country and bowing and scraping to her enemies...

WILL THE DEMOCRAT LIES EVER END?

i THINK i WAS ONCE cAPTAIN of the Harvard Swim Team. No, that's not right, it was Blumenthal, no that's not right...he was in Viet Nam then, no that's not right...

When the "upstart young whippersnapper" is 65 years old, it's time to add age limits to the term limits in the U.S. Senate...

STOLEN VALOR

Blumenthal's characterization of his "return from Vietnam" as "mis-spoken" is yet ANOTHER LIE.

Why does he feel he has to augment his service record? He served honorably as a Marine. There is nothing wrong with getting college deferments ( I got them for four years), nothing dishonorable about not going to Viet Nam (pretty near nobody wanted to except lifers).

He did not mis-speak. If he had been to Viet Nam, I'm pretty sure he would remember it. I can tell you stories that start: "When I was in Cam Rahn Bay, or when I was in Saigon, or when I was in Long Bin or When I was in Da Nang". I can't tell you a story about "When I was in Chu Lai" Why ? Because I was never there. It's not misspeak. It's Lying.

You can't trust a Liar. He's disqualified himself from further public service. This is not a position change or broken campaign promise. This is a dis to the Band of Brothers.

You've disgraced yourself, Marine.

BIG DAY

Yesterday, we washed the Jeep, went to a garage sale and bought an Aquarium, entered the Jeep in a car show in Port Richey, and ate hotdogs and chips for lunch, while there strolled down the road to find a cache and two more ammo cans in a state park, hiked back then waent to Captain Jack's in Tarpon to the Tiki bar and consumed beers and Golden Marguaritas and Appilachicola Bay raw oysters and chessy chips with Neuil, then back to the garage sale, then on to Hooker Island for more beers and hoagy, then home. Whew!!

DNF'S

People who fail to log DNF's are among the most insecure and frightened people on the planet. They probably have inferiority complexes and They they would benefit from some sort of mental therapy. Maybe they are so pathetic that "winning" at geocaching is the only thing in their lives that has any meaning to them. They are rude and inconsiderate and don't play well with others. They are quick to grow angry and are extremely and aggressively defensive. They are probably litterers, tax cheats, or used car salesmen, and most likely are the personality type that cuts you off in traffic. This is the personality type that allows them to feel entitled to let their dogs poop on your yard, and then hold a violent lifelong grudge against you if you politely object. These are the "me,me,me" folks. They are all around us, in our schools and factories, churches and prisons. We must be forever vigilent about them and pity them and be kind to them and try to help them if we can. Just don't turn your backs on them or loan them money. They make good politicians, tho. There has been some speculation in scientific circles of late that there is some DNA gone horribly wrong mechanism that makes them this way, so we have to be compassionate, and consider them to be sick. And above all NEVER, NEVER, NEVER

Subject: DON'T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN!
Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new 'patriotic' can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building , and the
Pledge of Allegiance on them.

However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge,
'Under God.'
Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone. In that case, we don't
want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either!

So if we don't buy any Pepsi products, they will not be offended
when they don't receive our money that has the words
'In God We Trust' on it.

HOW
FAST CAN YOU FORWARD THIS ONE?

Pretty darn fast!!!!!

THE COMING FIRESTORM

"My greatest immediate fear for America is not Obama's twisted attempt to transform our Judeo-Christian Free-Enterprise Republic into a third world freedomless godless socialist dictatorship--I think that will ultimately fail and his legacy will reside with the likes of Benedict Arnold and Mussolini. My greatest fear now, is that the traitorous and vile democrat socialist activists among us won't shut up about their hatred of , and attempts to remake our country, it's laws and traditions and spark a backlash from the heartland that will ultimately sweep them up in an unrelenting and unforgiving McCarthy-like dragnet and lock them up in concentration camps. If that happens, and I pray it doesn't, they will have brought it about themselves, and no power on earth will be able to save them.. Sow the wind, Reap the whirlwind..." --Trader Rick

You think that's extreme? Just today a network news whore admitted she wished the latest taliban attack had been masterminded by someone else for God knows what reason... To take the heat off them, one could suppose. Their are traitors among us, and they will not be tolerated for long... at the same time the Obama regime, in its arrogance, is considering ignoring Miranda Rights... Is any of this sinking in folks???

FROM THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION:

Even without Tebow, Gators will win the SEC East again

Spring practice is over. We’ve learned a lot in the past month but there is still a lot that we won’t know until the teams return in August to begin drills for the 2010 season. This week we are going to break down every team in the SEC and ACC. We’ll talk about what we learned and what we still don’t know. What we do know is that every team, even the defending national champion (Alabama), has issues. How they deal with those issues, and what kind of summer the team has in avoiding off the field problems, will determine what happens come September.

Here is the schedule for the week:

Today: SEC East

Tuesday: SEC West

Wednesday: ACC Atlantic

Thursday: ACC Coastal

Friday: Tony’s Spring Top 25

Feel free to add your own comments to what we learned and what we still don’t know about each team. This exercise is meant to be fun and to give you a football fix that will (hopefully) last until two-a-days.

Enjoy.

SEC EAST SPRING REVIEW

PROJECTED FINISH

1. FLORIDA

**–Last season: 13-1, 8-0 SEC; lost to Alabama 32-13 in SEC championship game; defeated Cincinnati 51-24 in Sugar Bowl.

**–Coach: Urban Meyer, 96-18 in nine years, 57-10 in five seasons at Florida.

**–Key losses: QB Tim Tebow, LB Brandon Spikes, DE Carlos Dunlap, C Maurkice Pouncey.

**–Returning starters: Offense 6, defense 5, specialist 2.

**–Players to watch: QB John Brantley, OL Mike Pouncey, S Ahmad Black, RB Jeff Demps.

**–What we learned: Florida’s offense will be very good again. Yes Tim Tebow and four other starters are gone from a unit that was seventh nationally in total offense (457.86 ypg). But don’t expect a significant drop off from the 2010 Gators. New quarterback John Brantley has an NFL arm and four of five starters return from a very good offensive line. The Gators are loaded at receiver as Andre Debose and Carl Moore return from injuries. Chris Rainey, who played running back last season, moved to the hybrid “Percy Harvin” position and should have a big year. Florida has a couple of young players, Trey Burton and tight end Jordan Reed, who can run the ball from the quarterback position.

**–What we still don’t know: Can the defense overcome the losses? Five starters from the 2009 defense, which finished fourth nationally (252.57 ypg), were taken in the NFL draft. The other lost starter, linebacker Ryan Stamper, led the team in tackles last season with 78. Also gone is defensive coordinator Charlie Strong, now the head coach at Louisville. That’s a lot of talent to replace, but there is a lot of talent waiting in the wings. Look for safety Ahmad Black to have a huge season.

**–Opening game: Sept. 4 vs. Miami of Ohio.

JEEP WAVE

The Jeep Wave: An honor bestowed upon those drivers with the superior intelligence, taste, class, and discomfort tolerance to own the ultimate vehicle - the Jeep. Generally consists of vigorous side-to-side motion of one or both hands, but may be modified to suit circumstances and locally accepted etiquette. Examples of commonly accepted modifications:
  • Top off: One handed wave above windshield or outside body tub
  • Top off during blizzard: Shiver and nod, hands may remain frozen to steering wheel
  • Southern/rural locations: Raise fingers from steering wheel, nod

IT'S A JEEP THING

Brendon, this is Rick: (long read)

Your mother has known for a while that she needed to upgrade her Corolla. Door handles keep rotting and bEAking off. motor in drviers side window no longer works, little things, then the other day her air cond. leak got bigger, won't hold a charge longer than a day (we had been charging it monthly. anyway, she decided she wanted a newer vehichle. So your mother panics, can't have a car without AIR.

Rightly or wrongly I've been indoctrinating her on the cult and lifestyle of JEEP. (We have our own secret road greeting, our sayings "It's a Jeep thing--you wouldn't understand", and of course the secret handshake--OK so we don't really have that.) Anyway, just for the fun of it some of my selling points:

You get to join a a unique subset of the culture, like birdwatchers, kayakers or math professors except the bond is stronger.

You drive a FUN vehicle.

You never get stuck in sand or mud.

You sit upright, so less fatigue on back and less drowsiness. yOU ARE UP HIGHER, BETTER VISION

The Jeeps hold their value.

As long as you keep it shiny, nobody knows if it's new or ten years old.

Jeeps know no economic bounds. There is no statement as to your net worth as there is in a Rolls or a '85 pinto. Donald Trump could drive up in a jeep, or a homeless junkie. A Jeeps a Jeep.

People who drive Jeeps have FUN in their Jeeps.

A newer car makes you feel good. (That goes with any car.)

Easier to transport palm trees in a jeep than a corolla, especially really tall ones.

moRE SOLID VEHICLE, more power than corolla. (6cyl)

ETC ETC ETC.

There are a few downs sides: lower gas mileage, not quite as smooth a ride, higher center of gravity makes it easier for cows to tip you over..etc.

Anyway I've been pointing out jeeps to her and saying"Look! There's people having FUN IN A JEEP!"

( some asshole in a Jeep with diamond plate covering up his rust, with top down and doors off came rolling down CR 95 yesterday doing a left turn at about 35, didn't roll it tho...)

So with her air out, last night your darling mother went and bought a Jeep.I'm not saying she got a great deal, but I don't think she got screwed too bad either. we did some comparison shopping.

It's a gently used 2008 Wrangler with special yucky paint color, AC AT (her must-haves) 4x4 2door, slightly oversized Goodyear tires, 20,000 miles, CD changer, soft top, chrome package (door hanhandles, grill, rear views, running boards, etc. alum wheels so kind of loaded for a Wrangler.

so far she likes it.

we are accentuating the positives in our lives not the negatives, (like her facial pain and the fact that her son didn't amount to much, in terms of being a greeter at Wal-Mart...Oh wait, he's an ATC????)

hER LIFE STYLE HAS CHANGED IN THE LAST YEAR. oops. She does more outdoor activities, hauls garden supplies, yadda yadda and so maybe this will be a good fit for us.

She is going from having the worst looking vehichle in the parking lot to the best, or one of the best, and that affects your positive attitude and happiness factor, and she needs that..

She owns the car. I am helping her with half the monthly payments. she put down a thousand. It was not cheap, but it's damned near like new even tho it's almost three years old.

So, we need to decide which windshield decal to get:

IF YOU CAN READ THIS, TIP ME OVER (INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN)

OR

IT'S A JEEP THING -- YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND

Iinstalled my Florida Gators spair tire cover on it. so now we peruse the catalogues toput cool add ons: Wire lamp guards, machine gun mount etc.

wait a minute, i'll attach some pics.
