HAVE SOME PRIDE AND GET IT RIGHT!

It's 8:25 a.m. and Patrick has crawled under the covers with Junior who is sleeping on a couch downstairs in front of the TV.

I am so tired of media types, either vocally or in print, speaking and writing like trailer trash illiterates.

If I hear "Way back in 1896" or even "back in 1896" one more time, my head will explode. We KNOW 1896 is BACK, you slimeballs! And we don't need your editorial comment on how FAR BACK it is!

While I'm on that subject, NBC or whoever it is, did an abominable job with their coverage of the Olympics. They covered it basically as a neutral observer, not an AMERICAN network--and their GRAPHICS depicting flag and abbreviation of the name of the nation were mostly undecipherable, those that were even legible--You would have had to have a 60" screen to even see them! Assuming you know what the flag of Absurdia looks like or that VBZ stands for Idiotica Commonwealth... Really amateurish! Oh well...

Coaches poll comes out today. Gators need to drop off it.

SHE DESERVED BETTER

It's 6:44 a.m. Patrick's in his crate, and Junior is out somewhere.

Well the Gators embarrassed us on national TV, enuff said. They SHOULD drop out of the top 25.

Dancing with the Stars final was on TV last night and Drew Lashay won. Fair enuff. But Long Legs was eliminated as third best, giving Jerry Rice second place. I had toyed with the idea of wondering weather they would give Rice the title (He was the popular favorite), just so they wouldn't have to pick between Stacy Kiebler and Drew. But alas, they didn't and Stacy got shafted. On a score out of a hundred, for DANCING, I would give Stacy a 97, Drew a 96 and Jerry an 80. They need to change their scoring scheme. There is too much weight given the popular vote, because the same maroons who are idiot enuff to vote for Clinton for president, vote for their favorite person, not based on that person's dance performance. For proof, everybody knows the joke of a clumsy oaf, the Black Rapper "P" guy, who refused to learn the dance steps or practice (his pro partner couldn't even stick up for him, poor girl) who just sort of plodded around flat footed on the dance floor or stood still while his partner danced around him. It must have been excruciating for her!

Anyway, Stacy, we love you; you and Drew should be co- champions.

They done her wrong.

It's 6:33 a.m. and Junior and Patrick are downstairs watching videos/sleeping on the couch.

Did I tell you Patrcik achieved a personal best 83 times peeing on the trail on our hike yesterday?

TWIST AND SHOUT

It's 7:44 p.m. and Junior just went into town "real quick" and Patrick is here with me.

Junior has been practicing with his new acoustic/electric guitar on the internet this afternoon. Mudbelly and I went on a long long hike in the woods.

At 10:00 a.m. the US Supreme Court issued a writ of certiori in a case involving the constitutionality of Partial Birth abortions. Several Appeals court circuits have blackballed it.

Looks like things are looking up for the anti infanticide crowd...

MILLIONS FREED

It's 4:08 p.m., Junior's at work and Patrick's here with me.

Well last night, they canned the O' Donahue babe, you know the twin sister--the world class beauty--Simon said she should quit singing and go into modeling. She's breathtakingly stunning-I'm sure somebody will discover her for something. Guess I was wrong on that one. I would have thought they would have kept her around for awhile...You can't make me believe that they allow the moroons who vote determine the course of their show...
*
Speakiang of voting anad maroons, Has anyone counted up the millions and millions and millions of people who've been freed from tyranny by Republican Presidents since oh, say 1980? Or how many countries a have been liberated? or how many NEW countries have sprung up, once part of a larger empire? Wataching the Olympics on TV and seeing all thef ormer slave states now proudly free--Russia, Georgia, Estonia et al-- it warms your heart; AMERICA did that! Single handedly for the most part--oh, we failed sometimes, and shed a lot of blood, but just look at the results? And th democrat party has opposed time after time after time the liberation of planet earth....How do they live with themselves?

Patrick and I planted five geocaches on the Salamonie Horse Trail yesterday--some really spectacular views of the lake. Great hiking!

3-POINTERS KILL GATORS

It's 8:43 a.m., sunny and Patrick ahas crawled under the covers with Junior on a couch downstairs in front of videos.
Well, Gators didn't dissapoint us--they let us down with a 76-72 loss to the Vols -can't beat them this year. Gators came up with two 3 point shots late in game to keep it from being a blow out--Vols had 11. There were no less that SEVEN NO CALLS against the vols by the officials, I don't know what's up with that. Noah got elbowed out and lost playing time. Gators led by as much as 13 in first half; Game was tied with 18 seconds left, gators with the leather- and they turn it over! Bah! Rebounds were in favor of UF 36-32, Turnovers--Vols lost six more than Gators- but Gators lost it too many times in second half.
Lead Differential was +144 in Gator's favor in first half, -12 in second, for game +132... in contrast to Gators Lead differential in 73-68 victory over Vandy: +4/+361 = +365
Gators just blew it.

GO KELLIE!!!

It's 6:18 a.m. and Patrick has crawled under the covers with Junior who is on the couch downstairs sleeping to videos.
*
Random thoughts:
*
Caught a little of American Idol on TV last night while watching the Olympics ( chick figure skating, you know). First time we've seen it since the auditons in Carolina, when we picked Kellie Pickler to win it all. It seems they've finished the Hollywood cuts and are down to 12 girls and 12 guys and the regular competition is in full tilt. They must see something in Kellie, since she made it this far. They like her. She IS precious. but judging from last night she is going to have to really pick up the singing end of her act if she is going to succeed. I could listen to her accent all night long.
Competition for her will come from Becky O'Donahue, a real knock out and, our new prediction to go all the way: Katherine McPhee--she has it all!! She will get a record contract no matter what, when it is all over. They are really promoting the Legacy black teenager; however. Kellie remains our sentimental favorite...
*
Why can't teenage girls learn to drive cars? Is it genetic, or are they all mental until they get out of high school?
*
Damned UCONN beats ND by one lousy point in roundball OT last nite. Geesh!
*
The big green lizards face the Vols at home tonite.Gators are ranked 9th, 22-4 (8-4) and 11th Ranked Tennessee is 19-4 (10-2) sharing best league record with LSU. Gators are favored by 7.5 points--who comes up with this shit? Vols won 80-76 at last meeting, last month. Wouldn't it be sweet if Gators could win?
Bush should retreat on this UAW Ports contract deal. He's right, but it doesn't passs the sniff test. Dem-Libs are showing themselves for the hypocrites they are, they're SO silly! Contract needs to be made attractive enuff for a US firm to take it. I know, I know, but cripes, unloading a freighter is not rocket science!!

Spurrier must be beaten in the Swamp!

WHAT ABOUT THE VOLS?

It's 4:43 p.m. Patrick is here with me and Junior is off somewhere.

Wireless highspeed has been out all day even tho weather is clear with blue sky. Back-up Dial up wouldn't work either, which pisses me off.

Gators only dropped two spots to 9th in the coaches poll, huh! after trouncing by Hogs. Tennessee lost too, to "Bama, sets up a good game for Wednesday...

BRRRR!!!!

Well, it's 9:54 a.m., Patrick and Junior are downstairs sleeping in front of videos.
It was 3.4 degrees F. when I got up this morning, I'm fighting a miserable cold for the fourth day, the pipes in the kitchen are frozen solid and There are two caches out there only ten miles away waiting for FTF's but I'm not venturing out in this weather sick, nor do I want to...
The Big dogs are loving this weather!
Gators allowed a lousy team, Arkansas to beat them yesterday. Tied at the half, tied at the end, lost 85-81 in 1OT. Oh well, just so we win the big ones, like TENNESSEEEK!!!
Spurrier must not be allowed to win in the Swamp in '06!

SHOWBOATING = LOSER

It's 4:51 a.m. Junior and Patrick are downstairs watching videos.
Lindsay Jacobellis is a hot-body blonde US olympic athlete, a world Champion in Snowboarding cross, and yesterday she had a lead in the First-ever finals that was insurmountable, looked like over two hundred feet and three or four seconds in an event that fractions of seconds sometimes separate the first and second places...
So with just thirty yards to go, she does a showboating move, grabbing her board and wipes out! One girl passes her for the gold medal, she gets up, recovers to come in second (That's how far ahead she was of the rest of the pack)
and settles for Silver. She lost the First Gold medal awarded in the event in the Olympics, due to bad judgement.
Sorry Lindsay, I'm sure you'll never make that mistake again.
She's only twenty, she's had a charmed life so far. We've seen other athletes, some pros, who should know better, that get caught up in the moment and start celebrating short of the goal line or the finish line, and ultimately lose. Like the pro golfer that cavalierly one-hands a one-foot put and misses. Usually these mental lapses don't cost them as much--Lindsay's will haunt her the rest of her life. To see her standing all alone stunned and crying at the finish line, while the winner (who was second best, really that day,) was being mobbed and congratulated was poinient indeed --The Agony of Defeat--The tortoise and the Hare. GO GATORS

It's 6:37 a.m. and Patrick has crawled into bed with Junior, and Stephen and another guy are downstairs watching stupid videos.
If anyone on the planet was disposed to give the MSM the benefit of the doubt concerning their "reporting" regarding the Bush Administration, its feeding frency surrounding the VP's attempted murder caper should put those doubts to rest.
We are getting more intensive bulletins on Cheney's hunting companion's condition that we did of Chaney's when he was in the hospital. I honestly believe these guys are drooling at the prospect of the lawyer dieing so they can crucify the VP in the media as a cold blooded murderer. You think that's harsh of me? Not nearly as harsh as they are every single day...

GET US OUT

It's 7:11 a.m. Patrick and Junior are downstaaiaaars, wow look at those a's!, watching a movie.
Boy, our Girl's gold and silver medalist snowboard halfpipe babes, Hannah and Gretchin, are Hot! They have posed in white bikinis with their boards...
Speaking of the Olympics, NBC is making a fool of itself with its silly Turin-Torino hype. They are talking of a great "debate" generated by their use of the spelling "Torino". Get a life, boys, nobody cares. Dickie Ebersall, the incredibly egotistical idiot in charge, dictated that they use the European spelling and pronuciation. Well, after all, NBC is global anyway, not American, right? There is no mystery here, NBC. We speak English, you speak Italian-- just keeps in tune with your Anti-American stand on everything else. Do you call Rome "Roma"? Jerks!
The UNO proves once more, embarrassingly, that they are a joke. Their silly pronunciamento that our Gitmo prison should be closed immediately is stupid. Do they check Mexican jails and Turkish Prisons? NO. When will the American people get tired of this UN hypocricy and political crap? This is the same outfit that puts LIBYA in charge of their Human Rights organization, for pete's sake. Why do we continue to shore these fools up? We PAY thru the nose for these trailer trash fourth world countries to disresect us. God help us if Aliens land and try to deal with the UN as the legitimate representatives of the Earth... Thirty five years ago we had bumper stickers on our cars reading:
GET THE US OUT OF THE UN AND
THE UN OUT OF THE US!
Wish it would come true.
Gators only dropped one place to 7th with weeks's loss to USC and win over LSU--And LSU breaks into the top 25 by only losing to the Gators by Nine points!!!!!
I've been wataching the American Political scene since the early 60's and NEVER, with the exception of the Goldwater Campaign and maybe a few years during the Viet Nam War have I seen the sheer hatred of America and Insanity displayed by a national political party--the democrats. I think if they continue on this tack, they will dissapear from the American political scene--We don't want a one party system-- but I hope who ever takes their place are moderates and force the Republicans out of the middle and they start to be Consseravative.
Katie Couric bores me.
WHY CAN'T PRESIDENT BUSH BE A MAN AND DO HIS OWN KILLING INSTEAD OF SENDING AN INCOMPETENT BOOB LIKE CHANEY WHO USES BIRDSHOT FOR GOD' SAKE?

It's 5:26 a.m. and Patrick and Junior are downstairs watching movies.
Patrick and I could not walk on the bottom of the Lake in our quest to find a northward passage to Monument Island yesterday brcause of the snow cover, which would mask dangers. Hope we can today. A thaw is predicted and so our window of opportunity may be quite narrow...

ABORTION IS MURDER

It's 11:11 a.m. and Patrick and Junior are downstairs asleep.

Heard on the radio this morning about the debates regarding when life begins, when pain is first felt by fetuses, when viability occurs, etc. etc. Doesn't matter.

ABORTION IS MURDER
MURDER IS WRONG
ABORTION IS WRONG.

That simple.

DEMOCRATS ARE SLIME.

There are no Christians in the Democrat Party.

There are no moral people in the Democrat Party.

There are no Pro-Americans in the Democrat Party.

There are no anti-murdering-of-babies people in the Democrat Party.

That's because a Christian or moral person or Patriotic , or Pro-life person could never knowingly allow himself to be alligned with the Anti-Christian, Anti-America, Anti-God and Morals ,Anti-Negro and Pro Baby-killing Party. Yet they command the allegiance of half the American people. Are all these people nuts? No, they are just IGNORANT. They have no earthly idea of what is going on politically in this country, and don't care. That's democracy for you. Those intelligent, knowing people who are in the Democrat Pasrty, no matter what lies are spewed out of their foul mouths--They are NOT Christians, they are against us. They are against Judaiac Christian values and work hard to destroy them using primarily pop culture and Hollywood. The Hate America and everything she stands for: Freedom, individualism, capitalism, Patriotism, Family, Charity, Etc. etc. etc. They are not just another party with a different viewpoint any longer. They are the scum of the earth, their symbol is 666 and their titular head is a Dirty Traitor that should have been shot thirty years ago. Amen.

Sad state of affairs, eh?

On a lighter note, or maybe not, Gators play a formidable LSU team in an hour or so. If the USC game is any indicator, they will lose by forty to fifty points. If they play up to their potential, they will win., but just barely.

GATORS HAVE THEIR HEAD HANDED TO THEM ON A PLATTER BY SOUTH CAROLINA

It's 5:15 a.m.; winter is back, it's 11 degrees out and windy. Stephen and Junior are downstairs watchinG a movie and Patrick is wandering around looking for food.
Well, Gators fall to Gamecocks for the SECOND time, this time at home by four points, did in by USC's three point shots. Oh, well.
If we lose every single future BB game and every single football game, indeed lose every meet in every sport for the next five years, there is ONE game that we MUST win, Urban, and that is Spurrier's return to the Swamp in 2006.
Spurrier put the Gators on the map. We love him. He is a Gator, always will be. He is not a Gamecock, he just coaaaaaaaaaaaaaches them. He had a chance to be right up there with the Bear, Joe-pa and Bobby Bowden. He chose a different path. That's OK. It didn't work out for him. But he took the coward's way out. He REFUSED, by his ego-arrrogance, the head coaching job at Florida by demanding special treatment and rules breaking by the Administration, and to their credit they had enuff integrity not to bow to his illegal demands.
Is there a better college coaching job for Paterno to go to? For Bowden to go for? No. They arrived at their final destination and stuck it out. Spurrier left for greener pastures, and that's OK, but then he didn't come back. No loyalty. That counts for a lot. He's not in the same league as Bowden or Paterno. Would we take him back, should Meyer not work out? You bet, ina New York minute. Because the Gator Nation can forgive. WE have the integrity HE lacks. He doesn't get it. If he beats us in the Swamp, we'll get over it. IF we beat him, it will be sweet. South Carolina broke Lou Holtz. Spurrier will survive. We wish him well, just not at Florida Field. HE could have gone ANYWHERE. The Big Ten. Why did he have to come back to the SEC east to play the Gators? There is a character flaw there somewhere. I wonder if it will be his downfall? Will he take the Cocks to a national championship? Doesn't matter, his resume will always be stained , with a bad smell.
Oh, and by the by, the moslems are showing themselves to be sheep-Barbarians with their reaction to the cartoons. A holy war against these assholes may be inevitable. we may be talking genocide here. It's up to them. We've done it before, we can do it again. No problem.
Also, NOTE TO THE FBI: I'm sure you are not still keeping tabs on me like you did in the sixties, but if you want to tap my phone, I'm cool with that. Anything to protect us from the mad bombers. I have nothing to hide, and if I did I wouldn't discuss it on the telephone...

GOT THE SPREAD RIGHT!

It's 6:44 and Patrick and Junior are downstairs watching Wedding Crasher for the 483rd time, this time with a girl.
My thoughts on Super Sunday:
Well my prediction for the Super Bowl was 28-17 and it ended up 21-10, so at least I got the spread right!! All in all a fairly boring game. Steelers Offense sucked first quarter, they didn't get a first down!. That Ward is exciting tho.
I wonder if Jagger sounded as bad and looked as silly in the Stadium as he did on TV? Arghhh!!
The colored man singing the Nastional Anthem was AWFUL! Aretha was OK.
Is there a ban on showing the cheerleaders? Only got a glimpse of the Osprey girls, they were awesome.
Do the teams really need SIX TEAM CAPTAINS apiece? Where are the sergeants and privates?
Do these idiots in the stands really think their little camera flashes are illuminating things 100 yards away????
Now on to the important stuff:
SUPER BOWL TV COMMERCIAL
If the game was not memorable, neither were most of the commercials. There were some positive duds. Budweiser, as usual, excelled.
Here some of the more interesting, with my ranking, Ten being the best, one bring abominable:
Was that Brook Burke on top of the BK burger? 11
Sprint Crime Detterent (hit'em with phone) 10
I won't tell if you won't Bud colt pulls wagon 10
Bud steal your buddies beer in front of bear 9
sierra Mist airport rubber glove 8
Mich football 8
GoDAddy.com girl 8
Magic Fridge 7
Fed X Dino and cavemen 7
career builder chimps 7
I'm going to Disney World 6
And the big losers:
Gillete Fusion 3
Kermit Ford Hybrid 2

Dove Self Esteem Fund 0
and the worst:

MY PICK: STEELERS

It's 4:19 PM and Patrick's snoozing and Junior's at work.

Buddaman and I both got our 500th cache today, Quint's Cache, a five mile walk in the woods 5-part multi, after having a dawn breakfast at Golden Corral in Warsaw, with Patrick in tow. 25 degrees, windy. Snowy.

About two hours to kick-off for Super Bowl 40: My prediction is Steelers 28, Ospreys 17. If I'm right, then this is a legitimate deal. If I'm wrong, I'll edit this to make me right.

Gators battled Kentucky Wildcats to a draw at the half last night in G'ville. Neither team got more than about a 3 or 4 point lead. Second half, Gators open up a can of whup-ass, led by as many as 22, final score, 95 to 80. Sweet! Should move up to 6th place tomorrow, altho I still think that's a bit ambitious for this team. After all, Kentuck IS unranked... LSU got a conference loss, so it's tightening up in the league...

Steve Spurrier must NOT be allowed to beat the GATORS in his first visit back in the SWAMP!!

Two federal appeals courts have ruled that partial birth murder abortion ban law is unconstituional. If GW gets one more Assosciate Justice pick, maybe we can get Roe overturned and let the States decide how they are going to handle the vicious murder of innocent babies...Gee, sounds like a no-brainer when you put it that way doesn't it? Well, it's that simple. Killing innocent children is MURDER. period. Oh, and MURDER is BAD!

Why can't people see that? It's not like in Nazi Germany where if you spoke up about displacing and interning and killing Jews, you might get killed yourself. What excuse are these pro baby killing people going to use? They have no defense. They are not misguided. They are EVIL BASTARDS. ANybody with an ounce of sense should be able to figure out crushing a baby's skull with pliers is wrong...OK, enuff already.

MSC

It's 10:37 AM, Patrick is in bed with Junior and Stephen and two other poker players are in sleeping bags, downstairs.

Went caching in the bad weather this morning with Patrick to a Trickworm sticker cache. Snowing, grey, windy, visability 1/2 mile, but 33 degrees so not so bad. GPSr wouldn't settle down, but when it finally did zero'd in fine. Down by the River DE23, FTF. Tricky is allowing me the priveledge of installing pencils in his cachesAlso replaced Pastrick's Sunny Summit, .11 miles away. This was a major MSC.

It's time for Ted Kennedy to retire. His dementia has progressed just too far.

Gators play Kentucky tonite. Wouldn't be great if they could beat them?

SURVIVOR

It's 1:00PM, Junior's asleep downstairs with Patrick.
Patrick and I got my 499th Geocache today. Plan to get #500 with Buddaman Sunday morning.
Ran into one of my ex-wives in Wally World. Didn't see her 'til right on her. I averted my eyes and she didn't see me, at least not then, I don't know if she had seen me previously. So avoided an awkward moment. I knew this was going to happen since she recently fouled the town with her presence. It's my fault for being in the store not at my usual routine time. She is dead to me. I lived in my farmhouse for ten years and never had to lock the front door until she sent her daughter to steel some of my family heirlooms. Now we lock it. I've never locked my truck in town, either, but I got to thinking about it. Patrick was in the truck. Now maybe this is paranoid but better safe than sorry: What if she stole him out of the truck? Not that she wants him, but just to get back at me, and take him far away and abandon him. He started out as her dog, she left him, when she left me, and got a new dog and eventually threw that one away, too. She's the one that appealed (I didn't even think you could DO that) our divorce settlement and got it DOUBLED by telling multiple lies in court, the greedy-evil bitch.
Also saw another old friend in Wal-Mart, she told me she had got divorced too. But I knew that marriage wouldn't last. She tried to run her husband down in the parking lot at work one day. Would hate to face HER in divorce court!
Oh, well!
#7 Gators play Kentucky at the dome tomorrow--that could get ugly!!

OLD ENEMIES

It's 5:15 a.m. Junior hasn't returned from a Lakers-Pacers game and Patrick hasn't gotten out of bed yet.
An old enemy, who had wronged me in the past several times without merit, committed a random act of kindness toward me which I graciously accepted, with no mention on my part regarding her past transgressions. Is this an olive branch? I wonder... Her past actions were mean spirited. I shall continre to be wary..
And from We Are The Boys:

It was inevitable, but the Gators pulled in the top recruiting class in the nation Wednesday.
Scout.com ranked the Gators class #1, as did Scouts, Inc. Rivals.com had the Gators second, behind Southern Cal.
Combining the three rankings (awarding 25 points for #1, 24 for #2, etc.), here are how the recruiting classes stack up nationally:
1. Florida
2. Southern Cal
3. Texas
4. Georgia
5. Notre Dame
6. Florida State
6. Penn State
8. LSU
9. Oklahoma
10. Auburn
11. Michigan
12. Ohio State
13. Miami-FL
13. Ole Miss
15. Alabama
16. Pittsburgh
17. Clemson
18. Oklahoma State
19. UCLA
20. Arizona
21. Tennessee
22. California
23. Texas A&M
23. Texas Tech
25. Nebraska
Uh, I don't see South Carolina in the group, Super Steve....

NUMBER SEVEN GATORS GO TO 19-2

SECOND ATTEMPT TO POST, AS IMAGE UPLAOD FROZE SCREEN DESTROYING FIRST POST FOR SECOND DAY IN ROW, SITE'S FAULT, NOT THIS MACHINE.
Well it's 5:53 a.m., Junior's out and Patrick is still asleep in Bed
Gators started two freshmen last night in their 69-58 victory at Mississippi. Humphrey is out for three weeks (Shoulder-bike accident) and Brewer hobbled around the court for a few minutes. The two walk-ons, Swanson and Tyler got lots of minutes. The Gators led the whole game except for a brief two point lead by the Rebels in the first half. Greatest UF lead was plus 15. Despite that, no cake-walk for the rusty reptiles. Anyway a double digit league win. GO GATORS!
